IT/IS Leader, Retail & Franchise Company ***Completed***
Our client is a well-respected and profitable BC based retail company. Due to growth and expansion plans, the leadership is looking to add a strategic minded IT leader to join the team and help redesign the Information Systems including the POS and ERP systems. We are looking for a forward thinking IS leader who is an expert in retail IS solutions. This is a unique opportunity to build a state-of-the-art information system from a clean slate.
Key responsibilities
Assess the current business and expansion plans to develop an Enterprise IT strategy that supports business growth and business process efficiency. The strategy will cover IT infrastructure, enterprise-wide business applications (POS, ERP, Marketing Automation, Security and user support)
Working with the CFO, assess the costs and build the road map to modernize a scalable IS system that will enable the organization’s growth targets
Engage vendors to establish a highly effective, customer focused, outsourced IT Service
Execute on plans to deliver on the IT strategy: organizational structure, IT processes & policies, operational plans, staffing plans leveraging third-party vendor relationships
Take responsibility for ongoing administration, maintenance, and onboarding new retail outlets
Ensure continued support of the current system and successful migration to the new system.
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in technical Project Management and/or IT/IS management experience focusing on POS, Retail, Distribution and Corporate ERP Systems
Hands-on experience in assessing corporate requirements and selecting appropriate infrastructure and software systems
Experience implementing new ERP or CRM systems for retail companies
Experience in cloud computing solutions including responsibility for infosec
Exceptional negotiation skills in developing effective 3rd party contracts and relationships
University degree and relevant Information Systems Certification with a preference for an MBA or business-related qualification.
