1. POLICY STATEMENT

1.1 Corporate Recruiters Ltd. (“Corporate Recruiters”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a Vancouver based recruitment firm. We are accountable for compliance with BC’s Personal Information Protection Act (“PIPA”). PIPA sets out rules for how organizations collect, use and disclose personal information.

1.2 Personal information means information about an identifiable individual (“Personal Information”). We are committed to being accountable for how we handle Personal Information, as well as how we follow the rules and procedures outlined in this Privacy Policy (this “Policy”).

1.3 By providing your Personal Information to us, you acknowledge and agree that your Personal Information will be processed in accordance with this Policy, as amended from time to time (and noted in the date above).

2. WHAT INFORMATION IS BEING COLLECTED AND WHY?

2.1 We may collect the following types of Personal Information:

(a) If you are a prospective employee, we may collect your name, phone number, address, occupation, and other Personal Information that you provide in your resume/CV and correspondence with us. We use this information to evaluate you and/or contact you for future job opportunities as they arise, and to generally stay in touch with you about career-related matters.

(b) If you are an employer or personnel of an employer, we may collect your name, phone number, address, occupation and other Personal Information about you as needed. We use this information to contract for and provide our recruitment services.

2.2 We will only collect, use, or disclose Personal Information that is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it is collected.

3. HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION

3.1 Where possible, we collect Personal Information directly from you. By providing your Personal Information to us, you agree that we may use it only for the identified purposes.

3.2 We also collect Personal Information through other sources, in compliance with PIPA, to help provide our recruitment services.

3.3 You may withdraw consent at any time by giving us reasonable notice. However, if you withdraw consent, we may be unable to continue to provide you with our recruitment services.

4. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

4.1 We will only share or disclose Personal Information in the following circumstances:

(a) if you are a prospective employee, we may share your Personal Information with prospective employers to provide you with employment opportunities;

(b) if you have engaged us as an employer, or if you are personnel of an employer, we may share Personal Information about you to prospective employees to facilitate our recruitment services; and

(c) as may be required by law or as legitimately requested by law enforcement or pursuant to a legal obligation, in which case we will use reasonable efforts to provide notice to you.

5. DATA RETENTION

5.1 We will retain your Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the identified purposes or any other legal or business purposes.    

6. DATA ACCURACY

6.1 We will make reasonable arrangements to ensure that Personal Information we collect, use, or disclose is accurate.

6.2 You may request that we correct any errors or omissions in your Personal Information that is under our organization’s control.

7. DATA SECURITY

7.1 We have put reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures in place to protect Personal Information under our control and prevent unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, or similar risks.

8. DATA ACCESS

8.1 You have the right to access your Personal Information that is under our organization’s control. A request for access must be made in writing. You may be required to prove your identity before we give you access to your Personal Information.

8.2 We may charge a “minimal” fee for providing you with access to your Personal Information. If a fee is required, we will give you a written fee estimate in advance.

8.3 We will provide requested Personal Information within 30 business days after it is requested, unless a time extension is granted under PIPA.
