Hardware Engineer – IoT (Delta) HW-AD ***Completed***
Our client is a small, profitable organization specializing in solutions requiring real time tracking of people and assets. It has successfully grown to a multi-million dollar company and continuing to expand. As experts in interoperable real-time location systems they are driving the next generation of security and compliance applications in healthcare, industrial, and commercial environments. They deliver a robust multi-purpose real-time location platform with superior flexibility, interoperability, and performance helping organizations achieve the protection, compliance, and efficiencies they require when it comes to their people and assets.
They are now expanding their hardware team and looking for an intermediate or senior Engineer to join them.
Role Description:
Hardware design for embedded products with primary focus on electrical and PCB design, including RF, digital, analogue circuitry;
Development of 16/32-bit microcontroller based products that operate under extremely low power consumption requirements;
Development of Board Support Package firmware for 16/32 bit microcontrollers (assembler and C);
Design and development of manufacturing fixtures (hardware and firmware where applicable);
Development and maintenance of product documentation, including comprehensive production documentation;
Evaluation of product RF performance;
Writing and maintenance of design documentation.
Requirements:
B.Sc. or higher in Electrical Engineering;
5+ years of embedded systems development, focusing on electrical and PCB design, including aspects of firmware development;
Development experience with embedded software / firmware for low power devices (assembler and C);
Preferred experience: wireless communication, data acquisition systems, low power design, TCP/IP networking, regulatory compliance;
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban);
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; ability to find and suggest creative solutions;
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules
Proactive, self-motivated and independent;
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Dynamic personality and capable of working as a part of the multi-disciplinary team with full ownership of own deliverables.
