Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control Engineer (EIC) – Vancouver, Hybrid

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Design: Design containerized water treatment systems, including single-line diagrams, electrical load lists, and control panels.

• PLC/HMI Development: Program Siemens and other PLC-based control systems, Ignition HMI, and remote-monitoring platforms.

• Installation & Commissioning: Oversee electrical/automation installations and conduct factory and site acceptance testing.

• Operations Support: Troubleshoot alarms and maintain system documentation.

• Innovation & Collaboration: Optimize system designs and drive technology adoption for cost and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; professional designation: P.Eng or ASTTBC.

• 5+ years’ experience with process facilities, water treatment plants, or similar multi-disciplinary projects.

• Proficiency in Siemens PLC, HMI platforms (e.g., Ignition, VTScada), AutoCAD, SQL databases, and industrial networking.

The role reports to the Head of Automation, and will fulfill an essential role within a company that is committed to commercializing innovative solutions to protect the planet’s primary resource.
