Business Systems Analyst, Retail – Vancouver ***HOLD***
Our client is a well-respected and profitable BC based retail company. Due to ongoing technology upgrades, the leadership is looking to add an experienced BSA to join the team and help redesign and maintain the Information Systems including the POS and ERP systems. This is a unique opportunity to join their new IT leader to build a state-of-the-art information system almost from clean slate.
Responsibilities:
Be the first point of contact for business applications and data reports support inquiries; provide prompt response and timely resolution to technical issues;
Collaborate with IT teammates and business group in the triage and resolution of application and/or data report related issues and/or defects.
Monitors and maintains application systems performance and data integrity.
Maintain existing data reports and develop new ones as required.
Update in-house business applications as required.
Liaison with third-party application providers/developer on complicated issues and/or defects.
Maintain and update business application related documents.
Conduct end user training on the company’s business applications.
Participate in any business systems related projects as required.
Requirements:
University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent.
At least 4 years of progressive hands-on experience in maintaining and supporting business applications and data reports in a Microsoft centric environment.
Proficient in SQL and DBMS.
Minimum THREE years of progressive hands-on experience in SSRS, SSIS, ETL – and some knowledge of C#, .Net, VB, Access, ASP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and XML.
Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems
Team player and possess outstanding interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of accounting and retail point of sale applications a plus.
Working knowledge of one or more areas: Bl tool, source code control, technical documentation, end-user training.
